I’m not waiting for change. I’m running to make it happen.

Caroline Avinger is running for South Carolina House District 24 to fight for education, attainable housing, and healthcare you can count on.

I'm not waiting for someone else to fix what's broken.

For a while, I was doing exactly what I’ve always told my daughters not to do: complaining without offering a solution. So I stepped forward. As a small business owner, former teacher, and full-time mom, I've lived the challenges our district faces. It's time for a representative who is present, responsive, and accountable.

Too many decisions feel distant from the people who live with their consequences. Teachers deserve support grounded in classroom reality. Small business owners deserve relief from crushing insurance costs. Working families deserve housing and groceries they can afford.

This district deserves someone who represents the people who live here, not just a party label. For too long, politicians have let the letter next to their name decide their votes. That’s not leadership. When I’m elected, my decisions will be guided by what is best for my constituents and the state of South Carolina, because people will always come before power.
